Why We Exist
Chasen appeared healthy his whole life.
Hours before he unexpectedly passed away in his sleep on March 21, 2023, Chasen was playing first base and pitching for his baseball team. Only genetic testing after his passing revealed Brugada Syndrome — a rare, undiagnosed heart condition his mother and two brothers were also found to carry.
One year later, that knowledge — and the family’s AED — saved his brother Caden’s life.

Chasen’s community keeps his memory in play.
From Hoops For Hearts at Hopewell Middle School — over $10,000 raised for the American Heart Association — to the Cambridge Feeder Football awareness game held around Chasen’s birthday each year, and Hopewell Youth Baseball’s championship-weekend fundraiser tent.
